I use a thinner batter (flour and seltzer only) -- I'm going to try your buttermilk/cornmeal recipe, looking forward to giving a good thing some more heft!

Comment on Green Jello - A Family Tradition

Of course I do... he likes to go by many pseudonyms. I recommend it without reservation.

Comment on Caramelized Onion and Fennel Pie - a wonderful brunch with friends

wow! Childhood summer was the best time of life and your blog made me think back on all those great, but simple memories. Building grass forts, drinking lemonade on the front porch and jumping into the cold creek from a rope on a tree. I think it is a fantastic reminder to all of us to slow down and remember the best things in life are simple, personal and come from the heart. Thanks for reminding us! Enjoy the pears.

Comment on White Trash Faux Lasagna

Sean, I debated using my "real name" for the dish, but I had to call it like I call it! LOL! You may call it whatever you like though and I hope you enjoy it.

I'm going to call it Lasagna Verdura but I will give you credit as the inventor!
